I’m Harmen, a Dutch voice actor since 1999 with a warm voice that I can use to sell, inform, instruct, convince, comfort, appraise or whatever it is your script needs. My professional studio guarantees top quality recordings.

Starting out as a substitute voice talent while engineering at a studio in 1999, I have by now lent my voice to more national radio and tv commercials than I can recall over the past years.
I have been the Dutch station voice for Discovery Networks Animal Planet until it made way for TLC.
On top of that I have recorded many corporate videos, informercials, explanimations and webvideos

I studied Sonology at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague

The studio is equipped with several microphones, and for my voice, a Gonzo Audio XL251 has been chosen, a tube microphone made in the Netherlands based on the ELA 251, a sibling of the Neumann U47 and U67.

This microphone is connected to a Cranborne Audio Camden preamp in an IGS Panzer rack.

For AD conversion, either a Lynx Hilo or a BURL B2 Bomber is used via a Dante network with an RME Digiface Dante interface.

Monitoring is done through the DA conversion of the Lynx Hilo to a Cranesong Avocet II and then through a Bryston 4B sst2 amp to PMC MB2S monitors.

In terms of software, I occasionally work in Pro Tools Ultimate, but mostly in Nuendo.
