A bilingual, full-time voice over pro and SOVAS nominee!
I feel like LIFE has always been BILINGUAL…for as long as I can remember! I grew up in and around Montreal, so bilingualism just happened: From making friends as a child, through my school years, to everything one might call “work”, my ability to switch between two languages seamlessly was an asset…and a blessing! My parents were bilingual too, but it was the immersion in Montreal’s culture and diversity that allowed me to become a truly NATIVE-speaker in both languages. The most flattering question I’m often asked: “So, are you anglophone or francophone?”. I’m proud to say, “BOTH!” (Just like poutine!).
As a full-time voice actor, bilingualism IS my brand! I also call on my business education and experience from more ‘traditional’ jobs when recording and collaborating with clients. Along with that professionalism, I incorporate my passion to perform and entertain – You can’t just forget everything you picked up as an MC, after-hours DJ, and competitive snowboarder!
When I started voice over, I was hooked! Recording and producing audio…business and marketing…the variety of projects and clients…helping my peers…I love it all!
Like most voice actors, my work spreads across many genres: Corporate narration, eLearning, telephony, explainers, and, of course, TV, radio, and internet commercials – in BOTH English and French.
I record from my professionally equipped and remote-ready studio in Ottawa, Ontario…Canada’s (officially bilingual) National Capital.
Every voice actor sets their own rate. All of our talents are pros, but the cost can vary depending on their experience and skill level.
Generally speaking, voice over rates depend on:
- Will the voice over be for broadcast and paid ads, or organic, non-promotional use?
- The length of the script (word count).
- Do you need the voice over fully edited and production-ready, or just the raw audio?
- Do you want to direct the voice artist in real-time, or can they record independently?
Many of our voice actors follow our pricing schedule, but you’ll find that rates are negotiable, so if you let them know what you can afford, there’s a good chance they’ll accommodate you!
