Hi! I’m Kelsey P, also know as The VO Opossum.
I have a wonderfully weird, bouncy voice that has inspired many a collaborator to think about their works in entirely new lights. I love exploring the wide spectrum of human (and non-human) experiences through the beautiful scripts that I’ve been privileged to work on throughout my career. Specifically this skill set has brought me a lot of success in interactive (video games) and animation projects. I also frequently work in the commercial and e-learning space.
My university education and early professional background is in classical and contemporary theatre, through which I developed expert script analysis skills and explored a vast spread of different acting techniques and approaches. The techniques I’ve studied include: Roy Hart vocal technique, Linklater vocal technique/text analysis, Commedia del’Arte, Alba Emoting, Rasaboxes, Laban movement, Stanislavsky, Min Tanaka/Body Weather, Lecoq, Viewpoints, and more!
So why the VO Opossum? Well, just like opossums: I’m one of a kind (Opossums are America’s only marsupial!), an out-of-left-field funky weirdo, and great for the environment (aka your project)!
Let’s take a trip out into left field together and hit it out of the park!
p.s. not to worry, I can be normal upon request 😝
Every voice actor sets their own rate. All of our talents are pros, but the cost can vary depending on their experience and skill level.
Generally speaking, voice over rates depend on:
- Will the voice over be for broadcast and paid ads, or organic, non-promotional use?
- The length of the script (word count).
- Do you need the voice over fully edited and production-ready, or just the raw audio?
- Do you want to direct the voice artist in real-time, or can they record independently?
Many of our voice actors follow our pricing schedule, but you’ll find that rates are negotiable, so if you let them know what you can afford, there’s a good chance they’ll accommodate you!
