Overview

My name is Pocholo and I’m a professional Filipino and Tagalog voice actor.
Veteran Voice Artist
“The VoiceMaster” – the voice behind literally thousands of dubbed anime characters, local radio and television commercials, various children’s programs, films, dubbed foreign telenovelas, drama, TV shows, video games and audiobooks.

Experience

From animation like Digimon and Cyborg Kuro-Chan, to foreign telenovelas like Meteor Garden and Chabelita, Pocholo has dubbed thousands of hours for such TV shows. He has also voiced hundreds of commercials for clients like PLDT, Globe Telecom, Smart Telecom, Pepsi, National Bookstore, Rebisco Crackers, and Bibo Hotdog, to name a few. In 2008, he voiced and voice directed the characters of Toti and Hal An in the country’s first digital full-length animation movie entitled “Dayo: Sa Mundo ng Elementalia”. He also worked as a Dubbing Director for HERO TV and Cinema One.
The Man BEHIND a Thousand Voices
Starting out young in the voice acting world, Pocholo had his own share of frustrations and disappointments as he was making his name in the industry. But instead of folding up and putting his dream on the back burner, he used this frustration as a fuel to realize his vision – to make the Philippines the center of voiceover excellence in Asia.
In 2005, Pocholo established his own voiceover services company, Creativoices Productions. But more than being just another audio production house, Creativoices became the home of the very first and premier voice acting school in the country – the Philippine Center for Voice Acting. This school, more popularly known as “VoiceWorx,” became a hub for aspiring voice artists to develop their voice acting skills, and get their foot in the door of voice acting. 10 years and 35 batches later, VoiceWorx has produced more than 1,000 graduates, and almost half of them are actively making their name in the industry – as dubbers, voiceover talents, events host, broadcasters, and even trainers.
Through Creativoices, Pocholo also brought the Filipino voice acting talent to the international scene when he closed several projects with the famous video gaming company, Sega. Pocholo became the voice director for arcade games such as Harley Davidson King of the Road, Golden Gun, Operation Ghost and Transformers. Those games all used Filipino talents for the voices of the characters.
The Philippines’ Most Recognized Voice Artist
Because of all his accomplishments as a voice artist, Pocholo became the only Filipino/Asian panelist in the 2012 VoiceOver International Creative Experience (VOICE) in Anaheim, California.
Being the “VoiceMaster of the Philippines,” Pocholo is by far the most acknowledged and recognized voice artist in the country. He has been featured in several television programs like “Balitang K,” “Matanglawin” and “Kabuhayang Swak na Swak” in ABS CBN, “I Juander” and “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho” in GMA, “ShopTalk” and “Mukha” in ANC, “Tribe,” “Aprub” and “Taumbahay” in Net 25, “Sweet Life” in QTV, “Good Morning Boss” on PTV 4, “Medyo Late Night Show with Jojo A” on TV 5, and “Serbisyo All-Access” in CNN Philippines. He was also featured in both print and online publications like Speed Magazine, The Philippine Star, Manila Bulletin, Reach Knowledge Magazine, Rappler and Raket.ph. He was even featured in some radio programs of DZBB, Radyo Veritas, DWIZ, Radyo Singko, DZRJ, UNTV Radio, Pinas FM, DZRH, and DZMM.
Pocholo is often being compared to the legendary Mel Blanc and is considered the Philippines’ “Man of a thousand voices.” But for Pocholo, he is the VoiceMaster because he is the man BEHIND a thousand voices – the voices of those who used to just dream for their voices to be heard.

FAQ

Question: How much does it cost to book this voice actor?

Every voice actor sets their own rate. All of our talents are pros, but the cost can vary depending on their experience and skill level.

Generally speaking, voice over rates depend on:

  • Will the voice over be for broadcast and paid ads, or organic, non-promotional use?
  • The length of the script (word count).
  • Do you need the voice over fully edited and production-ready, or just the raw audio?
  • Do you want to direct the voice artist in real-time, or can they record independently?

Many of our voice actors follow our pricing schedule, but you’ll find that rates are negotiable, so if you let them know what you can afford, there’s a good chance they’ll accommodate you!

Question: How quickly can I receive the voice recording?

Every voice talent works to get your recording back as quickly as possible. Turnaround time often depends on:

  • The talent’s availability and workload.
  • How long the script is.
  • Whether there are technical or difficult-to-pronounce words in the text.

The sooner you hire, the faster you’ll get it! Some offer a 3-hour turnaround for urgent requests.

To get quotes quickly, we suggest posting a project or getting quotes from 15-20 voice actors who might be a great fit for your project.

The more you choose, the faster you’ll get quotes in your inbox.

Question: Where does the voice actor record my script?

All our voice actors record in their professional broadcast-quality home studios using high-end microphones.

We pre-screen each individual voice talent to make sure they can produce audio that is 100% pristine!

Since they will be representing your brand, the sound quality directly impacts your business’s image—so you deserve the best, especially for recordings meant to last for years!

Question: Can the voice actor record my script to help me make a decision?

Yes!

When filling out the quote request, you’ll have the option to upload or paste your script.

This will trigger an option to ask the voice actor to record a part of it, so you can get a feel for the final delivery:

Question: Can I listen in and direct the voice actor during the recording in real-time?

Yes!

Once the project is funded, you can schedule the session with the voice actor and offer real-time direction, so you get your voice recording exactly how you want it!

Question: What if I need to make some fixes or add changes in the script?

In most cases, voice actors won’t charge for pickups if they make a mistake. Small script changes after the recording may also be free, as long as they’re reasonable and not major.

Just keep in mind that each actor has their own policy, so it’s best to clarify this upfront.

Question: What if I need an additional recording after the project has been completed?

If you need another script recorded for a completed project, you can agree on a price with the voice actor and then click the “Add more funds” option under their proposal:

This option is also available mid-project if the scope changes and you need additional recordings before releasing your payment to the voice actor:

Question: Can the voice talent split the recording into separate files or sync it with my video?

In most cases, the voice actor can split the recording into separate files and deliver them in formats like WAV, AIF, mp3, or others.

They should also be able to sync their voice to your video.

If not, feel free to reach out to us, and we’ll gladly assist!

Question: Can I get help with adding background music and mixing it with the voice-over?

Absolutely!

We have our very own royalty-free music catalog you can use to find the perfect piece of music for your project.

Once you buy music from our site, we can professionally mix it with your voice-over and even sync it with your video, so you’ll get the final product without having to ask your video editor.

Get in touch with us, tell us what you need, and we’ll be happy to take care of it.

Question: Do I get full rights to the voice recording? What’s the licensing agreement like?

Non-broadcast voice-overs, such as phone messages, YouTube clips, e-learning, audiobooks, and personal projects, typically come with a buyout in perpetuity.

This means you own the recording for any non-promotional use forever, with no extra fees.

Broadcast recordings, and/or ones used in paid advertising for TV, radio, or internet commercials, are licensed for a specific time period starting from when they’re first used, as defined in your quote request.

The usage time will be noted in your invoice.
